This year’s recently-held annual Healthcare Digital Marketing Awards (HDMA) saw Sciensus take Gold in the Digital Publication Campaign category for its ICAN campaign, an integrated multi-channel initiative that sought to raise awareness for cancer care at home. With over 1000 submissions to this year’s awards, the HDMA recognises excellence in medical and healthcare marketing.

Run across 2022/2023, the ICAN campaign aimed to empower patients by highlighting cancer treatments at home as a care option, helping them to take more control of their treatment plans and continue enjoying many of the day-to-day things they love.

The ICAN campaign was run across a variety of on and offline channels, including digital and printed media (such as the Mail, Metro, and Telegraph), social media, digital display advertising and sponsored content in the Daily Mail’s Good Health section. A mix of digital content was produced, including sponsored articles, a bespoke video series, case studies from healthcare experts and an ‘always-on’ display advertising.

Overall, Sciensus saw an uplift in the number of patient referrals during and after the campaign. Sciensus’ Director of Marketing and Communications, Nicole Mondville, said: “The win is a wonderful acknowledgment of the hard work our marketing team put in to showcase the services we’re delivering every day in patient’s homes.”

Well done to the team.
