Decentralised Clinical Trials
Decentralised clinical trials, early access schemes and monitoring
Decentralised clinical trials at Sciensus come in the form of nursing and pharmacy services. Our nursing can be delivered in person or remote including IMP or placebo administration, patient observation and insight studies. Our proposition brings patients onto clinical trials quickly, accelerating the study by patients not having to regularly attend hospitals/clinics for IMP or observations.

Bringing patients onto clinical trials quickly, wherever they live.
Sciensus supports a number of phase II to IV clinical trials, insight studies and early access schemes. Our service allows patients to access clinical trials and early access schemes quickly, relieving capacity challenges within NHS and CROs. We then support patients with adherence to protocols, including our digital pathways. Our current trials are seeing patient retention of over 90%.
To do this, our UK wide national footprint reaches patients quickly. Whereby our centralised pharmacy holds and supplies temperature tracked IMP or early access medicines direct to patients via our own GDP logistics.

Supporting patients on clinical trials. Every step of the way.
We have full regulatory compliance and all our teams have GCP and trial-specific training. Our nursing team provides patient counselling and IMP administration, while also taking patient observations, including clinical samples. We can also capture patient insight, including patient reported outcomes measures.
We currently have over 240,000 patients, and we have completed over 100 clinical trials and access schemes. These are made possible by our UK-wide footprint and close relationships with all NHS hospitals, thousands of consultants and many pharmaceutical companies.
