Sciensus are working with Novocure to support eligible patients to receive Tumour Treating Fields (TTFields) therapy
Cancer treatment has changed significantly over the last decade. Alongside advances in medicines, medical technologies are changing how some treatments can be delivered and supported.
At Sciensus, we’re committed to delivering a variety of cancer treatments through specialist home-based services that give patients greater choice, flexibility and clinical support. That’s why we’re proud to be working with global oncology company Novocure to support eligible private patients receiving therapies using Tumour Treating Fields (TTFields) as part of a consultant-led treatment pathway.
This agreement represents another important step in expanding access to cancer care through a fully integrated home treatment pathway that enables eligible patients to receive therapies beyond the hospital setting.

What are Tumour Treating Fields (TTFields)?
TTFields are alternating electric fields that disrupt processes critical for cancer cell division and survival, resulting in cancer cell death without significantly affecting healthy cells. A wearable medical device is used to deliver TTFields therapy non-invasively through arrays placed on the skin.
TTFields therapy is used for glioblastoma, mesothelioma and non-small cell lung cancer in accordance with the approved indication.
Supporting patients beyond the hospital, a fully integrated home pathway
For many patients, cancer treatment can involve frequent hospital visits, lengthy travel and disruption to daily life. As healthcare continues to evolve, there is growing recognition that where treatment is delivered can have a significant impact on the patient experience.
Through this agreement, Sciensus provides specialist oncology care, nationwide homecare services and ongoing clinical support for eligible patients. Where clinically appropriate, patients can also receive oral or injectable systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) through Sciensus alongside their TTFields treatment.
Once referred by their consultant:
- Eligible patients are referred into a fully integrated home treatment pathway
- Sciensus provides patient onboarding, specialist clinical support and, where clinically appropriate, oral or injectable SACT through its established homecare service
- Patients remain under the care of their treating consultant throughout treatment
- The TTFields device, device training and all device-related technical support are provided directly by Novocure
- Sciensus does not supply or provide technical support for the TTFields device and supports the associated invoicing arrangements only
Together, these services form a fully integrated pathway, with the consultant retaining oversight of the patient’s treatment plan.

Sciensus has over 30 years of experience delivering complex treatments in patients’ homes, supported by specialist oncology nurses, clinical nurse specialists, pharmacists, nationwide logistics and digital care pathways.
Working together, Sciensus and Novocure are combining cancer technology and specialist clinical expertise to broaden access to treatment outside traditional hospital settings.
What the agreement adds
Working with Novocure broadens Sciensus’ Cancer Services offering by enabling us to provide our established cancer care services alongside therapies using TTFields by Novocure. It also gives consultants another treatment pathway to consider for eligible private patients whose treatment plan includes TTFields therapy.
Accessing the service
Consultants can refer eligible patients into the fully integrated home treatment pathway at any stage of their treatment journey.
Funding arrangements vary by insurer and may change. Consultants should contact Sciensus to confirm patient eligibility and funding before referral where required.
