Welcoming Sameer Mistry, our new Chief Medical Officer
We are pleased to welcome Dr Sameer Mistry to Sciensus as our Chief Medical Officer
Sameer brings over 25 years of experience across the NHS, pharmaceuticals, medtech and digital health. Most recently he was a Global Medical Lead at GSK, working on early-stage drug development in respiratory disease, gastroenterology and dermatology. Before that, he held senior roles at both GSK and Johnson & Johnson, where he developed and launched new medicines and medical technologies across UK, European and global markets.
“Sameer brings outstanding medical, strategic and leadership experience, built over more than two decades across the pharmaceutical, medtech, digital health and NHS landscape,” said Sir Jonathan Asbridge, Chief Clinical Officer. “His breadth of expertise and deep understanding of the evolving healthcare environment will be a tremendous asset to Sciensus as we continue to strengthen our clinical leadership and deliver ever better support for patients, providers and partners.”
He trained and worked as a doctor in the NHS before moving into industry, and holds membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester and was elected a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine last year. Outside his executive roles, he serves as a trustee and non-executive director at LifeArc, a UK medical research organisation focused on treatments for cancer, rare diseases and drug-resistant infections.
At Sciensus, Sameer will lead our clinical and medical strategy as we work to strengthen our support for patients, healthcare partners and the biopharma companies we work with. His background covers medical affairs, patient safety, drug development, clinical research, market access and commercial strategy – which maps well onto where we’re heading.
“Sciensus has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, patient-centred services, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the organisation to build on that strength and help improve care and outcomes for patients.”
