Sciensus shortlisted for two patient experience awards
We’re proud to announce that Sciensus has been shortlisted for not one, but two awards at the Picker Patient Experience Network (PEN) Awards – one of the UK’s events recognising excellence in patient experience across healthcare.
The awards celebrate impactful and innovative work across the NHS, local government, social care and healthcare industry. With tough competition and rigorous judging criteria, being shortlisted is a real mark of excellence – and this year, both of our entries made the cut.

Our shortlisted entries
Two of our teams submitted projects that impressed the judging panel:
- Making complaints count – Our Patient Services and Complaints teams collaborated to improve how we escalate patient calls and manage complaints. The result? A more responsive, patient-centred approach that is already delivering measurable improvements.
- Innovative use of technology – The Sciensus Intouch app team shared how they’ve used patient feedback to shape new app features that support adherence and persistence with treatment. The data shows that patients using the app are less likely to miss doses, improving safety and health outcomes.
Meeting the highest standards
To be shortlisted, both entries were assessed against the following criteria:
- The significance of the project and how it was delivered
- The impact on patients and our teams
- How it could be replicated elsewhere
- Key learnings and why it was innovative
What’s next?
The winners will be announced at a live event in Birmingham on 2 October. We look forward to joining other healthcare leaders to celebrate progress in patient experience.
Well done to everyone involved. This recognition reflects our commitment to continuously improving the quality of care and support we provide to patients every day.
