Our highly trained nurses will be right by your side, helping you make the most of your medicines, feel better and live life as normally as possible. They’re kind, caring and hugely experienced in helping patients through the clinical, practical and emotional challenges you’re facing. Before your treatment begins, they’ll be in touch to talk you through what to expect and answer your questions.
We’re proud to be a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, working together to give you the best possible care. As well as our exceptional nurses and clinical nurse specialists, we’re made up of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and healthcare support experts.
Between us, we’ve a huge range of skills and experience in care and rehabilitation, which we’ll use to support you and your family. Crucially, we’ll also work closely with your consultant, GP and everyone else involved in your treatment, giving you the confidence that you’re getting seamless care, every step of the way.
Research shows that being supported by a clinical nurse specialist is the biggest factor in creating a positive patient experience – so we make sure you have one straight away. They work closely with you to maximise your independence and quality of life – before, during and after your cancer treatment.
They’re specialists in:
Alleviating anxiety
Giving emotional support
Helping you develop coping strategies
Providing advice and information
Coordinating your health and support team
Signposting you to other experts who can help
Everyone’s different, and we know your hopes, fears and experiences will be completely unique to you. That’s why we take the time to really talk things through, explain what’s happening, answer your questions and put your mind at ease.
We’ll make sure you understand your treatment, how to safely store your medicines, and what to do if you’re feeling unwell between visits. If you’re going to be administering your treatment yourself, we’ll teach you how to do it safely and confidently at home, then check in on you regularly to make sure you’re happy and progressing well.
Our Care Bureau provides round-the-clock support for private patients and their families. It’s a telephone advice service run by experienced nurses and clinicians, who are available 24/7 to talk through your worries and give you advice. We’ll make sure you’ve got the number as soon as you’re registered with us.
“My wife and I have been extremely grateful for the caring and compassionate attitude of all the nursing who have given us immense support both in a practical and emotional respect. Please pass on our sincere thanks and best wishes to the team.”
