Sciensus host SACT training course
Recently, the Sciensus Cancer Team welcomed a new cohort of students embarking on their journey into Systemic Anti Cancer Therapy (SACT) Course held at Burton, travelling from far and wide and welcoming for the first time, our colleague from the Ulster Independent Clinic. All the students are studying at Masters Level. The course launch was designed to introduce them to the essentials of SACT while creating a supportive environment for them to excel in their advanced studies.
The team started with an orientation session to familiarise the students with the course objectives, assessment strategies, and the various resources available to support and guide their learning. Emphasis was placed on the critical importance of Systemic Anti Cancer Therapy (SACT) knowledge in improving patient care and outcomes. As part of their course, the students enjoyed collaborating with members of the Cancer Team, colleagues from around the business, supported by our external partners including Birmingham City University, Paxman and University Hospital of North Midlands, all of whom bring a wealth of clinical and research experience to the programme.
Our team focussed on creating an interactive, engaging atmosphere, encouraging students to share their experiences, aspirations, and any initial concerns. Through group activities, open discussions, and case study previews, students began to connect with their peers, fostering a collaborative environment that will support them throughout their studies.
We are thrilled to see such a motivated group of students who are not only dedicated to advancing their knowledge in cancer treatments but also committed to making a significant impact in the field of cancer. We look forward to support them through their journey and watching them grow into skilled practitioners who will drive improvements in cancer care.

“Our team focused on creating an interactive, engaging atmosphere, encouraging students to share their experiences, aspirations, and any initial concerns.”
