Gordon Cox, Chief Operating Officer, Sciensus, oversees end-to-end operational delivery across the company’s integrated distribution, in-home clinical care and digital solutions platforms serving patients and biopharma clients throughout Europe. As a trusted operational partner to biopharma companies, he is responsible for operational strategy, process excellence and service delivery that enables Sciensus to navigate Europe’s fragmented healthcare systems while maintaining the agility required for rapid product launches.
Since joining Sciensus in 2021, Gordon has been instrumental in optimising operational capabilities that accelerate patient access to innovative therapies. With over 30 years of operational leadership in pharmaceutical services in both Europe and North America, Gordon brings extensive expertise in building scalable infrastructure, managing complex logistics networks and executing transformational M&A integration programmes.
Prior to Sciensus, Gordon spent 25 years with Walgreens Boots Alliance, including a decade at C-suite level. As Operations Director, he led large-scale operational platforms spanning the UK and international markets, overseeing distribution networks serving thousands of pharmacies and hospitals. He served as Senior Operational Lead on two landmark industry mergers: Alliance Unichem & Boots (2007) and Alliance Boots & Walgreens (2014). Gordon also spearheaded the development of an innovative fully automated pharmacy within the Boots estate.
