How we help

At Sciensus, we know starting or managing treatment can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re here to make it simpler, safer and more personal.

For over 30 years, we’ve supported patients across Europe to live more independently with their condition. Working closely with your hospital team, we bring care to your home – giving you flexibility, reassurance and the confidence that your treatment is in safe hands.

Whether you’re a new patient or have been with us for years, our goal is the same: to put you at the centre of your care, making sure you have the medication, guidance and professional support you need.

Delivery of medication

  • How it starts: Once your hospital team sends us your prescription, we verify it before preparing your medication. We will invite you to download our Sciensus Intouch app, so that you can arrange your first delivery and book your first clinical visit, where relevant. You can track the progress of your prescription and delivery via the app.
  • Delivery details: Once you have booked your delivery day (Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm), we will notify you three days ahead with the 4 hour time window and a 2 hour time window the day before. On the day of the delivery you can track the driver via the Sciensus Intouch app.
  • Safe delivery practices: Drivers wear Sciensus uniforms and carry ID. Our drivers follow strict doorstep procedures to ensure the safety of your delivery, which include the need for you or your nominated person to identify you.
  • In-app control: Through the Sciensus Intouch app, you can confirm or amend delivery dates and addresses, track your prescription status, order supplies and receive medication reminders.
  • Missed or failed deliveries: We recommend that you record an alternative address with us so that in the event you are not available at your usual delivery location we can still make your delivery. If you don’t have an alternative delivery address and you’re unavailable, a card will be left and our team will contact you to reschedule.

Managing your medication

  • Safe storage & disposal: Each delivery includes labels with storage instructions (fridge vs. room temperature). For sharps or clinical waste, use the provided sharps bin and hand it to your delivery driver when full.
  • Supply adjustments & dose changes: Let us know if your dosage changes or you need additional supplies, including when you need a new sharps bin. We’ll request an updated prescription and reschedule your delivery accordingly.
  • Buffer stock & delays: We aim to deliver with at least two weeks of buffer stock. Please complete blood tests as scheduled – these are essential for your hospital to issue new prescriptions. Delays in testing can lead to delays in treatment.
  • Easy management via app: Update your contact details or delivery preferences any time through the app or by contacting Patient Services.

Clinician visits

  • Getting started: As part of your service, your referring clinical team may have instructed us to provide clinician training to ensure you feel comfortable and supported with your treatment. This could include teaching you how to inject and manage side effects. You can arrange your clinician visit via the app, or during your welcome call. You’ll receive an SMS the night before with a 2-hour time slot.
  • What to expect: During the visit, our clinician will discuss your treatment, explain potential side effects, answer questions and request your consent before proceeding.
  • Safety & continuity: You will be supported by the same team of clinicians where possible. They’ll take away clinical waste and coordinate with your hospital team.
  • Your role: Please ensure there is a clean area (including access to a sink) for our clinicians to prepare your medication. Secure pets and supervise children during visits.
  • Convenience & choice: If needed, you can request visits at different locations (e.g., your workplace or school), subject to suitability.
