Important information: Protecting yourself from payment scams

We’ve been made aware of a scam where patients are receiving fake text messages asking for payment for homecare medicines. These messages are NOT from Sciensus.

Please read this important information to protect yourself.

What Sciensus will NEVER do

We will never:

  • Ask you to pay for your deliveries by text message
  • Use PayPal, Klarna, or similar payment services
  • Pass debts to outside collection companies
  • Ask for immediate payment through unfamiliar methods

If you’re a private patient, we’ll always invoice you or your insurance company directly.

What to do if you get a suspicious message
  1. Stop – Don’t click any links or make any payments
  2. Check – Contact us directly using your usual contact number to verify if the message is real
  3. Report – Report the scam to Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk
Have you already responded?

If you’ve clicked a link, shared information, or made a payment:

  • Change your passwords immediately – stop the potential for any further damage
  • Contact your bank if you made a payment – secure your financial accounts
  • Report it to Action Fraud – register the offense
  • Email our Counter Fraud Team: CounterFraudTeam@Sciensus.com – help us protect others
