Apprenticeship programmes do not just run for young people who are starting out on their journey into working life and wish to earn while they learn.
Sciensus colleagues also have the opportunity to use apprenticeship training to learn new skills, boost their knowledge and gain a qualification while continuing in their day-to-day jobs with us.
At Sciensus we are supportive of everyone’s unique goals and want to give everyone the opportunity to develop a rewarding career, so we support them to train and provide study time to make sure colleagues have the best possible chance of completing the programme.
Danni has commenced a marketing executive apprenticeship because she would like to achieve a qualification to support her on-the-job experience she is building up on a daily basis.
There are four components to the programme, which lasts up to 21 months, including marketing concepts and theories, business understanding and commercial awareness, market research and products and channels.
Danni, who joined Sciensus in 2013 as a business administrator apprentice and progressed to pharmacovigilance team leader before switching to a career in marketing last year, said: “I felt the skills I had strengthened in my role with PV suited a marketing role and it would be a more transferable skill in other business sectors outside of healthcare.
“I really enjoy my role as it is varied and creative. However, I’d like a better understanding of marketing and a gain a qualification too.
“I’m really excited about the programme and hope it will give me confidence. The business is supporting the course and I’m allocated dedicated study time which fits in with my workload and activity.
“I’ve only just started and already it is benefitting me. It’s great for personal development, confidence and future roles here at Sciensus?”
